FIVE STEPS, EVERY SESSION

Every prospecting session follows the same five steps in sequence. Do not skip steps — each one feeds the next.

STEP 01

SEARCH: Find Businesses

OUTPUT → A list of up to 20 local prospects

Open the Prospect Engine at ionprospecting.com. You will land on the Search screen.

Business Type

The niche you are targeting — be specific. "MedSpas" returns better results than "health and wellness."

Examples: MedSpas, Orthodontists, Plastic Surgeons, Jewelers

City & State

Enter as City ST format. You can also try metro areas.

Examples: Jacksonville FL, Austin TX, Dallas TX, Nashville TN

Action: Click "Find Businesses" — the tool queries Google Maps data and returns up to 20 real businesses with name, address, phone, website, star rating, and review count.

Pro Tip: Run 2-3 searches per session — different niches or adjacent cities — to build a larger working list before you start auditing.

BEFORE

Confirm with your manager which niche and market you are working that day. Avoid overlapping with teammates running searches in the same city and niche.

DURING

Aim to fully audit and report on 5-8 businesses per hour. Auditing takes 15-30 seconds; report generation takes 10-15 seconds. Do not rush — read each report before moving on.

AFTER

Verify that all audited businesses are saved to the Google Sheet before closing the app. The sheet is the team's shared record of who has been contacted and what was found.
